I don't want to like Lana Del Rey. Her lyrics are so anti-feminist as they talk about over reliance upon men to feel happy (and not in a sarcastic way), the reviews of her live shows suggest that her voice is heavily edited and that lip is just distracting when she's singing.

But the fact is, her songs are good. They've got some beautiful string sections, her voice has a timeless beauty and, let's face it, her songs are really catchy.

Even if one of the lyrics is, "My pussy tastes like Pepsi Cola/ My eyes are wide like cherry pie"
It's those bizarre lyrics on love and loss that makes her so unique, and if you've been dubious in the past you should really check her out.
