BP PORTRAIT AWARD at the National Gallery

Throughout the summer, the National Portrait Gallery has held some events for young people, to try and encourage new artists, and I had the good fortune to be able to attend a private viewing of the BP Portrait Award exhibition.

Throughout the evening there was food, cocktails, live music and DJ sets, and the opportunity to ask questions to some of the artists whose pieces were on show.

The whole thing was 'no photography allowed', however thanks to the in-house photographer, Othello De'Souza-Hartley (who owns the right to all of the pictures below), you can see a snapshot of the night.

The National Portrait Gallery is free entry, and the BP Portrait Award is still open until 15th September, so I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're in London and would like to see some up and coming artists.
