i sat in the garden

waiting for you

to walk through the door

to take off your shoes

i sat in the garden

waiting for you

to cover my eyes

and whisper, 'guess who?'

i sat in the garden

waiting for you

i'd lit some candles

and cooked some beef stew

i wait in the garden

for you to appear

i've given up hope,

i drank all your beer.
