all my tears have been used up

If you're a regular reader of this blog, you'll know that I'm quite a big fan of Tom Odell - y'know, that guy who won Critic's choice at the BRIT awards then forgot that his album was supposed to be out in April? - and just before his album is FINALLY released at the end of June, he released this 'short film' (or music video as us meer mortals call it) for his song, Another Love.

As for the meaning behind this cryptic video? I've put on my English Lit. student brain on, and I'm pretty sure that the whole idea behind it is that as Tom walks down the street, putting up the posters about looking for a missing girl, it's as if he's searching for that idea of 'the perfect girl'. And all along, the girl he's been desperately searching for is right in front of his face, however he's become so obsessed with this lost fantasy girl that he cannot see what is right in front of him, until he stops looking.

(I wrote this late at night, so I may be completely wrong - feel free to check out the video for yourself and leave a comment with your own interpretation!)
